Out + about: Kooloora Community Centre

Kooloora Community Centre has been providing exceptional services to its community for 20 years. The centre's services include holiday care for school kids to gentle exercises for seniors.

Today I was delighted to join people who have participated and contributed in a variety of ways to the development and ongoing success of the centre.

Pete's tips


Use lights efficiently


» Rooms are often excessively lit. Make sure you are not using a higher wattage bulb than is necessary.
» Turn off unnecessary lights, including fluorescent lamps especially if leaving a room for more than ten minutes.
» Clean light fittings regularly to allow more light to pass through.
» Decorating with light coloured finishes and furnishings can allow lighting levels to be reduced.
