Out + about: A Local Man with Tony Barry

I attended an excellent performance of this one-man play about the life of Ben Chifley with Tony Barry as the former Labor prime minister. The play takes place one evening, shortly before Chifley's death, with Chifley working on a speech and his memoirs. Barry's performance as Chifley was masterful and affectionate.
 
The last performances of the play are 26 and 27 Sept in Bathurst - Chifley's birthplace.

Use lights efficiently


» Rooms are often excessively lit. Make sure you are not using a higher wattage bulb than is necessary.
» Turn off unnecessary lights, including fluorescent lamps especially if leaving a room for more than ten minutes.
» Clean light fittings regularly to allow more light to pass through.
» Decorating with light coloured finishes and furnishings can allow lighting levels to be reduced.
